After dropping down into the pit with the markers in chapter 17, I input the alien sigils to say “open,” but the door doesn’t open. The middle circle of the door is blue but when I approach it doesn’t change much. I can no longer progress and would appreciate some help.

Yes. I’ve tried restarting the chapter and continuing story but neither worked.
Community Manager@Willywaffle2 gotcha, past a chapter restart, do you have any saves before that chapter you can reload into if you needed to?
No I don’t
Community Manager@Willywaffle2 Gotcha, so if the last save point doesn't work, a chapter restart does not work, and no previous save files to load, the options are quite limited. Let me do some digging around. It sounds more like a corrupted save point and if that is the case you can try the following
Save the game as a new save
Close down the game
When you log back in, load into the new save and see if it works or restart the chapter from that new save point.
The door does not automatically open. You have to press 'E' (on PC) when you walk up to it.
