Dead Space 3 Low Frame Rate
Hey, guys. I'm having some seriously weird issues with Dead Space 3. I must've taken a break from the game for nearly 2 weeks... I load it up today and I get this horribly low frame rate just at the menu alone (20fps at the menu with no v-sync, and taxing my GPU at 99% and raising the temperature quickly). The thing is this game ran silky smooth with all settings maxed out the last time I played it. Switching the graphics preference to high alleviates the issue with my frame rate going over 100fps. My frame rate drops to 27 or so with Very High, and on Custom it stays at 20fps no matter what I change. That being said... before someone says "Just play on high."... I don't want to play on high, I want to customize my graphics settings to my liking (which would be maxing it out, like before). My configuration hasn't changed since then, I haven't made any new installations of drivers or anything of the sort. All other games run just as fine as they have before... It's only DS3 having this issue. I have searched forum after forum trying to find something on this problem and I can't find even the slightest hint at a solution to this problem, or anybody else who's having this problem. EDIT: I just had another hunch... Was there a patch recently? Was there any broken or non-functional graphics features in the game before said patch?
