Dead Space 3: no special effects & other problems

    Thank you anyway.

    What worries me is that there is no issue before the cutscene with the man blowing himself up on the police car. Reloading a save just after that doesn't help.

    edit: found the fix. Apparently it was caused by my settings in the Catalyst Control Center. Came back to default for everything and it solved it.

Honestly, I've never seen someone with that serious of an issue in any Dead Space game. The technician in me wants to say your GPU is faulty, but I assume you can play other games just fine. When you say latest drivers do you mean 13.8, 13.5 or 13.4?

    I'm using 13.4 right now (HD Rad 6800 card, Win7 64). I haven't see issues like mine either.

    I don't think my card is faulty, every other games I played recently worked just fine (Mass Effect 3, BF3, Witcher 2...).

    I didn't have any issue with Dead Space 1 and 2.

      At least you're on 13.4. That's good. Perhaps it's a problem with a file, or perhaps your computer just doesn't like Dead Space 3. I'm not sure I can be of much help.
