Dead Space 3 your graphics card does not meet minimum requirements Windows 10

Hello,

i recently bought Dead Space 3 and every time i launch the game i get this error: "your graphics card does not meet minimum requirements".

I tried searching it on the forums but they all say adding a 2nd screen which i don't have since i play on a laptop or say to edit a file in the Dead Space 3 folder in EA games. But this file is completely empty (and yes i checked the hidden folders box.

  • Hi @nathaaaan15

You have Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M .Dead Space 3 as far seems only wants to work only Intel HD.😉 Who knows why?!🤔

    Have you tried this step?

If you right click on a game icon Dead Space 3 and select to run with High performance NVIDIA processor , does it happen ?Your game should start now.🙂

These are the official requirements, and they aren't at all demanding, save for not supporting any IGP video devices:

    Minimum System Requirements

    • Processor: Intel : Pentium D 840 3.2GHz, AMD : Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core BE-2300
    • Graphics Card / GPU: Nvidia GeForce 6800 XT, AMD Radeon X1600 Pro 512MB
    • RAM: 1 GB
    • Operating System (OS): Windows XP 32 bit, Windows 7 32 bit
    • Hard Disk Space: 10 GB
    • Direct X 9

Intel's video chip doesn't qualify your system for EA support, is the reason for the error message, which results from not selecting the correct (Optimus) as the full time graphics device when playing games.

Well i managed to fix it, hooked on a 2nd monitor and set it to 60Hz. Then the game started but i still can't change the in game video settings.

I've mostly given up on nVIDIA.  Their pricing runs higher than needful, and they mistreat their laptop customers horribly.  I have an old 9800 GT in a machine here, but each of my others have AMD Radeon graphics.
