Hey buddy, I had the same problem. It happens with a couple of EA games. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Dead Space\__Installer\directx\redist and erase every other file EXCEPT for:
1. DXSETUP.exe
2. DSETUP.dll
3. dsetup32.dll
Then run the installer once again. Good Luck.

Thanks Manuel012387,
In my case the location of those .cab files is this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Deadspace\__Installer\DISK1\DirectX
I however, did not get the game from the On The House offer so your location may be the correct one. Either way, the idea here is to delete potentially corrupt DirectX .cab files and have the installer replace them.

Yep, just came here for this problem and solved it by deleting those files. Would be nice if someone on the Origin side would fix it, but that seems kind of unlikely given how long this has been an issue.
