Dead Space Multiple bugs
Here's a list of some bugs and glitches I experienced while playing Dead Space (2023) on Ps5:
1. Map shortcut (press and hold Inventory button) stops working after a while. This is a known one. Still not patched after all this time.
2. Lurkers, Enhanced/Phantom and Armoured Slashers don't make any sound at all, 100% silent at all times if playing with a dub different from English. Lurkers do make sound only if you Stasis and stomp them. Several people also experienced this.
3. Upon breaking some boxes, loot won't spawn. This happened rarely.
4. Not sure if this only happens in NG+, but each and every pipe with a blue rim that you can rip off walls and ceilings to use as a spear is already detached before I even enter the room they're in. If I attempt to pick them up, i get a spark effect coming out on both ends that remain attached to the wall, indicating the game thinks I ripped it off myself. Not game breaking, but still weird.
5. Upon opening the first shop in NG+, I'm greeted with an empty page. I cannot scroll left or right using L1/R1 and I can't access anything, not even my storage. The only fix I found is to reload a previous save.
6. The soldier holding his leg in Chapter 9 on the Valor is already laying on the floor when I get to him, as if he were dead. Once I get past him, his laments start and he ragdolls to the floor. I guess NG+ messes a lot with these scenes, but I thought I'd mention it just because.
7. Sometimes Kinesis won't grab an object in clear sight. This is a real annoying one, especially since it messes with combat sometimes.
8. Not a bug per se, but incredibly annoying nonetheless: stuttering. At first I didn't think much of it, but it becomes really noticeable once you get towards the more "crowded" areas of the ship, with many doors around you at all times. The game lags a bit whenever you get close to a door. Not sure if this can be fixed with a simple patch though.
Before you ask, I've gone through all the troubleshooting steps you'd suggest. Uninstalled and re-installed, deleted cache, rebuilt database etc. I know this game won't have any more patches most likely, but I hope this gets sent to some dev in charge of fixing bugs, so that they at least take notice of this if they're planning on making a DS2 Remake someday.
