I have been attempting to finish Dead Space but yesterday it began asking for a license code when attempting to play the game.
I have spoken to tech support and cleared the cache, prior to doing this I also uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and the EA play app.

Hello friend i hope you are doing well, I don't work for EA but I will try to help since I had this issue before too.
since its EA play try to make sure the proper EA account is linked here https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/link-ea-and-epic-games/ , maybe try to link and unlink https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/unlink-gaming-accounts-from-ea-account/ to better sync your account (keep in mind to link again asap to avoid losing any online progress as per disclaimer)
Now if issue persists try this, I know it says its for battlefield 3 but it has also worked with other EA games like dead space, mass effect etc. Re: EA launcher not correctly identifying my battlefield 3 license | EA Forums - 7593005
let me know if any of this helps with your issue, if not I hope EA reaches out soon, seems like it could be an issue with EA play subscription on EPIC so i recommend that from now on you get it from EA app directly.
