[EA app] Dead Space 2 "Failed to launch game"
Hi,
I'm having trouble starting Dead Space 2 on Windows 11 using EA App ("Failed to launch game. / An error our end caused the launch to fail. Try again little later.")
I tried steps from:
-reinstalled and repaired DS2 and EA App,
-cleared cache/temp,
-updated all the drivers,
-tried Compatibility Administrator (32-bit) fix for DeadSpace2.exe (ProcessorCountLie and ProcessorCountLieHybridCPU),
-running EA App / DS2 as an admin.
Also created help ticket with support, but we've run of things to try (it was basically the same list) - also my game is visible in EA App on all my PCs as "Dead Space 2"
whether installed or not, but on Help.EA.COM in game list I see only Dead Space 1 and Dead Space 3 (DS1, 2 and 3 was a bundle I've bought long time ago).
Please, help - I can supply any logs etc.
Can you attach a DxDiag?
Also, look at your Reliability monitor and attach this file:
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
- Copy and paste "perfmon /rel" (without the quotes) in the new Window > hit “ENTER”
- Look if it has entries for the game executable or EA app.
- If yes double click at the last entry for the game executable or EA app, copy the info, and save it to a text file.
- Once saved attach it to the thread.
