Kinesis module impossible mode dead space remake

When playing on impossible mode, I get to the part at the beginning of chapter 2 where you pick up the kinesis module, but then I can’t use my kinesis. There is no way to progress out of that room without it. I have restarted 3 times now and keep having this issue, I’ve saved and reloaded multiple times on the same save file as well. I don’t see any updates for the game in the store. I’m playing on Xbox Series X.
