Long EA ID string causing co-op to crash

In case anyone else has this issue. A friend and I tried connecting co-op and my friend got blown out of the

game immediately every time. Recently I had reactivated my origin account and had the long, temporary EA ID

string showing as my name by default. I hadn't edited my profile to a new short ID yet. On a hunch my friend

suggested I edit it down and I made my shorter current one and lo and behold that was it. We connected instantly

after restarting  and refreshing my origin app and my friend making sure to delete my old string name from his

friends list. So if the EA ID string is too long the game seems to have a problem.

Not sure if this subject has been discussed or logged before, but wanted to aid anyone who might have the

hitch we had.
