I was trying to get the Drill Sergeant Achievement on an easy solo play through, I had one Scavenger bot deployed. My friend was logged in. I quit the game and started a new regular Co-Op with a friend. Started with the Prologue.
- My Scavenger bot had about 5 minutes to return when I started the mission. I think it returned during the prologue, but since we don't get to keep anything from the prologue poof, bye-bye bot. We both noticed that we had a Scavenger bot in that mission, but could not deploy it, and there is no bench in the prologue for it to go to.
- I tried to go to Chapter 5 to recover the bot, but it would not add to my inventory, to make 3. I when back to where the bots are in, Chapters 8,and Chapter 13. But in Ch. 8 & Ch. 13, they had been replaced with other items, like with The Artifacts, after they had been collected.
- Idea for a fix would be to let the bots stay at the points, in game, where they are found and let us pick them up again, with the cap of 3. But something is telling the game, in the game's code, that all bots have been picked up, and replacing them with other items. Where is the call in the code, for 3 bots max, and if, then, only 2, then one of the last 2 should reappear, to be collected, and or the last one. That would make it possible for us to side step this glitch and go to the points where they are to pick them up again, and just have a slight inconvenience of a lost Scavenger bot, until we pick it up again.
- Also Add a bench for the Scavenger bot in the prologue, off map, to return to. But, since we could not get to it, it would hopefully be waiting for us, when we get to a functional bench.
- I was planning on getting the Awakened DLC this December or sooner, but, after this problem has happened, I have reconsidered this, until remedied.

"I Know this is well reported. Hopefully this is specific detail that will help fix. I have repeated this with backed up saves on my last scavenger bot to be sure.
When playing the prologue chapter while a scavenger bot is look for respurces.
- What did you do before you experienced the Bug (please be as detailed as possible)?
If you play the prologue mission in either coop or single player while a scavenger bot is looking for resources then that bot will be lost.
I have repeated thsi from both a saved checkpoint mid game and from dropping a bot in the weapons arena. Then starting the prologue chapter.
- What did you expect to happen? I expect my inventory to persist and my scavenger bot to be available.
I have paid for the bot DLC so am particulary upset to be reduced to only one bot, or the option of having to play through from scratch."
