@Embram56 For the Aim Assist, we can only go over how it should work, not how the game specifically is programmed because we are not the game team. As for uninstalling it, when you reinstall on the console, and you have a solid connection, it deletes all settings, updates, games, and patches for the game installed. Since consoles have very limited steps in troubleshooting, there's only a handful of ways to delete settings or profile data without deleting the saves.
Uninstalling won't delete your progress. You would have to manually delete that yourself. If a specific mechanic for the game in the settings is not working as it should work, and not as we want it to work, then a full reinstall (if not tried) would be the next step. Once that does not work, you test a different controller to rule that out.
After that, we have to bug report it since it is a game mechanic. As for any New Game + saves, those are not the same save files and should not run into the same issue unless the game mechanic itself is at fault. So it is a trial and error getting it to work correctly.
You say you can only go over how Aim Assistance should work. Okay, so HOW SHOULD IT WORK? You didn't say. Perhaps it is working correctly and I don't know it because I expect it to do something else. I expect Aim Assistance to move the cursor to the nearest or next enemy when I pull the aim (L2) trigger. It doesn't do this. Is it supposed to work a different way?

@Embram56 Apologies. With the holidays and backlogs, sometimes replies don't happen as quickly as we would like.
For Aim Assist, this is hard to say whether or not someone is doing it correctly unless we are right next to you watching what you are doing. Teaching someone how to use it is a bit out of our scope of support. As for how it works, This link is a pretty good explanation, as well as the Apex Link that goes into it as well.
