Ray tracing will randomly turn off or just isn't working correctly.
I've seen only a few people bring this up so far because it can be a tad difficult to notice. Sometimes RT will randomly turn off. This seems to happen sometimes when launching the game or it can happen after a cutscene in-game. When it happens you can go into the settings and see that RT is enabled but isn't actually on in-game.This happens on my mine and my wife's PC. She uses a 5800x and 6950XT while I use a 3080ti and 10700k.
If you want to test it as well there is a semi consistent way to do so. There is a video on Youtube I found while searching for my problem by someone called SapphireTechnology that also experiences this problem in Dead Space Remake. He was able to recreate it by continuously restarting a new game for the opening cutscene. Doing so can have vastly different levels of performance because sometimes RT is off, sometimes it is on but missing the hero light, and other times it is working correctly.
