Does anyone know if this was ever resolved?

I've just run into the exact same game breaking big on PS5 and can see this same issue has been reported since February.

Unbelievably annoying with 10hrs plus £ invested in playing a game. I thought the least EA could do is provide support to resolve fundamental defects
