Internal SSD. The game is also digitally downloaded from the Microsoft store. I also preordered it.

Hey I’m on series x the game is digitally downloaded I don’t have any apps running even factory reset my system and only downloaded dead space and doesn’t work also the update that released today on Feb 2nd hasn’t fixed the issue. It’s installed on the internal ssd and I don’t have anything plugged into my console.

Also I have tried other games and they all work fine I’ve done everything from unplugging my system, deleting all saved data, factory reset.  I don’t think it’s an issue on our end it seems like somethings wrong with the download as I don’t know what else could be done on my end to fix it.

dammit I thought I got it working got to the point in the cut scene where they pop out of warp speed which is the farthest it’s gotten but then froze and crashed. I don’t want to keep trying as it’s shut down my entire console multiple times and I’m worried it’s going to cause damage. Is this an issue you guys are working on? Or should I try to get a refund

nothing plugged into console

no other apps running

only game that crashes is dead space remake

things I have tried

- delete save data multiple times

- reinstall game multiple times

- factory reset Xbox and only installed dead space

- unplugged console for 5-10mins

- even though it’s digital I deleted persistent saves

I do own the original game on BC but it isn’t installed could that be causing some kind of conflict? Sorry to op for the constant posting today but I’m getting pretty frustrated.

I've just tried playing it again and like @nolskiii it still crashes, despite it being updated today. 

Dont worry @nolskiii about it. We payed very good money for this game and it doesn't work for us. I think I'm going to request a refund, as I currently own a product that doesn't work despite it supposedly being fixed.

I’m having the same issue. I can agree to terms and services, loads the seizure warning, then will freeze/crash at the animation loading screen.

As of version 1.1.14.14186 my game STILL crashes. 

The steps that EA suggests to do, don't work at all. Nothing happens, the same crash nothing works for this issue that we have. I can almost precisely call when the freeze and then crash will happen when I try to play. Its right at the moment you get off the ship and the other characters start walking that the game crashes and sometimes it crashes so hard my xbox turns off due to it. I uninstalled it and reinstalled last night and the crashes still happen, its downright exhausting dealing with this

Helloooo, anything, any tips or tricks or something you guys are looking into cause we have a defective product that we can even play, a response would be cool

Can EA give us a response as to what the situation is in regards to fixing these issues.

As of version 1.1.14.16391 my game still crashes.

Same here, i got abit closer to the flight lounge before it crashed, made my tv screen turn an off pink color before going back to the xbox home screen. At this point, whats the point of even owning this game, would rather have my money back now, almost a month since release and I cant even play the dang game. EA needs to actually support players that are going through this, and help us out.

I spoke to an EA agent the other day via webchat and they said it was down to Microsoft to fix it as they had done all the troubleshooting and there is nothing they can do. I'm not sure if this is the case or what but thought I would share.

Thanks for letting us know about this issue. I wanted to check if anyone is still running into Crashing or Black screens on Xbox Series X. 

If so, can you check the following?

• Are you on an insider build of Xbox (where you can test features early)?
• Are you playing on your monitors/TV native resolution?
• Do you have anything else connected to the XSX?
• Have you tested with another profile to see if the same issue occurs? 
• Does this issue happen on a new save or the current one you are playing on?
