STRICT NAT

Keep getting disconected even though firewall is turned off. NAT type is strict but my xbox says my nat type is open. 

Playing dead space on ps3. 

Dont have any problems with other online games with ps3.

I will be able to connect and will run fine for about 5 min with another player. Suddenly looses connection and brings me back to the co op campaign menu.

Have opened all ports that ea says needs to be open. Still having problem. 

ps3 says i have nat type 2. Meaning i should have no problems playing online.

Ive had this issue too. i can connect to ANYONE else except MY friend.

We would be okay with that, but sadly it seems it's just us two that can't connect.

People can connect to me and do every 10 seconds, and every now and then somebody will be able to connect to his game; just not me.

We used to have the same problem with ME3, but that fixed itself way back then somehow. (don't remember what we did)

Thats whats heppening with me and my friend, ive tried everything youve tried, its aggrivating.

I have exactly the same problem.

May someone from EA Support please help us?!

We are actually looking into this.

Open all your necessary router ports should solve the strict NAT issue. It can happen that your provider is blocking some ports even if you have opened all recommended ports in your router.

Could you please get in contact with your internet provider and ask for information if any ports are blocked from their site.

In extreme cases, updating your modem software could help with older modems.

Please enable the following online ports on your connection:

TCP: 80, 443, 9988, 20000-20100, 22990, 17502, 42127
UDP: 3659, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300
For specific instructions on how to open your ports, please visit http://www.portforward.com/ or contact your router manufacturer.

If you perform an UO trace, please send me the data via PM here in this board, we would need at least 20 hops.

Seems pretty much, but if these kind of basic workarounds doesn't work, we need to get through various steps to get sure that we eliminate as much blocking troubleshooter as possible.

Please get sure that you connect your PC or console direct to your modem via direct cable connection.
