Sorry for being a butthead, and I seriously doubt they know when a patch will be coming out, unless it is within the next 7 days. I agree, they should put a post up, "We know about issues and are working on them" but for whatever reason they haven't....whether that is because they were all out with family on vacation or because they were buried in code, don't know. As for releasing a patch just before Christmas, kinda glad they didn't if they were all leaving, can you imagine the issue if it messed up a bunch MORE stuff and then they all left?? And Sadly, while thousands are having issues, many more thousands are probably playing the game with only minor issues, and that is what they are looking at. Like I also said, they have to figure out why some machines work, and others tank and if all their machines are ones that work, then they have to get some that don't so they can figure out why. The more info and DX files they can get on here and through the help center the better chance they can of finding issue and NOT breaking worse things.
Can you imagine the backlash if they said a patch was coming out in a week, and it took 2-3 because of another issue that cropped up in testing??Or if they rushed it and it broke more stuff??
Lol. no worries.
Someone knows (dev team / QA / QC / management).
I already know a few people interested in a class action against them. but mum's the word. 🙂
and being that the game was rushed into production, who says the game was thoroughly tested to begin with?
and who's to say that they are thoroughly testing the patches?

I wouldn't say it was rushed. The game was delayed twice. Originally it was supposed to come out during the fall of 2013, and we would have been able to play as humans only.

It may have been delayed twice, but the game was still unfinished, and not fully tested before release.. a week before black friday here in the US.
To me that release date gives it an oder of it being all about profit ... So to me it was rushed. It could have been (should have been)
delayed again, but it wasn't....

I agree. They must have known there were serious problems but didn't want to miss the Christmas season.
Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 didn't crash on me every 20 minutes.
I've already finished the game (196 hours), but I feel bad for everyone else. 7 weeks into the game, and the only solution for Nvidia owners is to underclock their cards? [Yes, I've tried dozens of other suggestions.] If they don't release a solid fix, then I guess this is my last Frostbite game. I'm not putting myself through this frustation again.
I truly love Bioware games, but this has torn it for me. I'm not going to even consider buying the next Bioware game on release day. Maybe a few months after the release when the version number is 1.3 or something, I'll consider it.

So as I said, regular updates to reassure the user community that the issues are being worked would help a hell of a lot more than a deafening silence
