12 Hours Game Time Ruined

I gamed DAI without issue right out of the gate despite friends telling me about all manner of crashing. For 12 hours I gamed it up and was pretty stoked about things. Then suddenly black screen crash to desktop while fighting two big **bleep** elite level 8 bears in southern hinterlands. So reading the forums I realize this black screen crash is pretty common except that for me it only occurs when I try load the two autosaves I have that are 1 minute apart at 12 hours game time (my next closest save is a manual save I made at 6 hours). I can load old saves, start new games but I cannot load autosaves. But seeing as this issue, or some flavor of this issue appears to be related to NVIDIA based systems (I run SLI GTX 660), I ask my buddy on his ATI R9 to login to my account and pull down my Origin saves to load my game for me- same damn issue.

TLDR: Black screen crashing is not specific to NVIDIA. Crashes on ATI system in precisely the same way.

I have 2x SLI Titan's coming in tomorrow. I do not expect they will allow me to load my game but I'll report back.

My only hope is some miracle patch comes in the next day or two. But for now it's a frustrated, very disappointed and discouraged reroll (followed by a helluva a lot of manual saving).

    This happened to me. I even have a normal save at the same point and it won't load. Nearly six hours of time lost. No SLI for me though, just a single 780.

    Yep, starting a new game and the first or the second fight/kill causes a crash. running around seems fine. Basically the game is UNPLAYABLE at the time!

    So i could handle my problem for now. Something with the connecting to the dragon age server / Origin seems to cause this random crashes. My game stopped crashing when I changed the options in the Dragon age menu. Just don't log in to any servers. Hope it helps.

    Well i had something like that on the beginning of the game. So i disabled origin option etc - but from my observation i can use import from keep and even log to dragon age server without problem with origin online, all i have done is disable origin within game, auto update, keep export and cloud option, and so far im fine really.

    I got like 30 hours now, and only 3 crashes on Intel CPU and AMD Radeon GPU. And remember, F5 quick save is your friend, always.
