A list of problems i encountered on the PS4

I was advised to make a list by the @dragonage twitter account. Ill make a list of what i encountered and how the glitches and/or bugs happened.

This is for the PS4 version and 90+ hours of gameplay.

Crashes

Crashing on the skill tree: When clicking on 'character skills', everything but the skill tree does not appear, the PS4 button's do not respond except for the PS button, forcing you to automatically restart the game. This Happened several times after using the Renewal skill amulet bought from the smith (i forgot his name) 😛

Crashing while using the tactical view: This has happened three times while using the tactical view, while flipping between characters. During battles with multiple enemies and multple spells being used. Or to put it more bluntly, a lot happening on screen at once while flipping between characters quickly. This would automatically kick you to the ps4 screen, essentially the game would just shut off.

I was fighting next to where a cut scene takes place, the cut scene started while i was still fighting and my abilities, the group pictures and stats where still present. After some talking i came to the dialogue options, without options, they where not there, i tried directing and clicking on where the dialogue would/should be, but i had to manually restart the game. This happened to me once.

Model poppins and teleporting

Models poppins and teleporting happens frequently, loading specific areas of the game causes model pop ins, an example would be, while visiting the courtyard at skyhold and returning through both doors to the throne room, characters, tables, statues can take up to 5 seconds to appear, or while roaming around Emerald grave, trees, bushes and bandits would poppin.

An example of enemy poppin, while running around in an unexplored area in Emerald Graves, a giant popped in to my left, then Red Templars that where apparently already fighting the giant, then another giant pops behind them, while watching this a giant pops in behind my group. After the battle and defeating two of the giants and running away it, another one pops in front of me, and another one teleports from left to right. This only seemed to happen to me during 'Emerald Graves and The Hinterlands (with enemy poppins and teleporting.)

NPC models teleporting happens frequently, i stand there having a conversation with an NPC and a model randomly teleports across the screen, or in front of me, or if im just generally running around NPC towns, villages, cities, one or two NPC's teleport. And several times delivering a completed quest to an NPC, that NPC i am delivering too, teleports to me. Example: While delivering a quest, i see the NPC and as i get closer they'll teleport to the left and back again, or as i enter a house, they'll teleport through the house to where they "should" be.

While opening the inventory and flipping through characters to try on armour or accessories, each individual character can take from 3 up to 15 seconds to appear, this happens constantly and is frustrating while crafting and just generally frustrating.

Unable to build courtyard upgrade

I have the materials, but the option to upgrade the courtyard is not there, my journal tells me to go the 'inspect inquisition' table, everything but the courtyard upgrade is there.

Audio delay

Every time a new area is loaded, certain audio sounds are cut out and takes up to 10 seconds for general audio to level out.

Example: Being loaded into a new area, you would hear the wind, you and you're companions walking around, but your ability sounds music, animal and general sounds will not register until a few seconds later, and as I stated above, takes several seconds to level the audio out.

thats what i can remember.

Even with DAI technical flaws, its still a very good game with tons of content, 90 hours and i still have four places to visit. But i do hope that these issues are taken seriously and that i didnt just wast an hour and a half. If anything else pops in 😉 i will edit 🙂
