Achievement progress stuck on Xbox One

The progress of some of my achievements has gotten stuck. For example I have not yet unlocked the Trailblazer achievement even though the progress on Pathfinder is 60%. Also Loremaster and Hard Hitter seem to be stuck that even though I deal about 2000 damage per hit and collect more codexes the achievements are not progressing at all. I think that the problem has something to do with the fact that my girlfriend plays on the same Xbox as it seems that I have some progress on Botanist achievement even though I do not even have the garden in Skyhold yet. My problem looks very similar as described in the TrueAchievements forums: http://www.trueachievements.com/forum/viewthread.aspx?threadid=5066440

Is there any way to resolve this problem?

    Hi again,

I have a possible solution to the stuck progress bars that has at least worked for me. You will have to start a new playthrough though which is the downside.

    Steps

    1. From the dashboard select the dragon age tile then press the menu button and select 'Manage Game'.

    2. Select the save data for your profile (towards the centre of the screen).

    3. Choose to delete local xbox one save data only.

    4. Once deleted quit the management app and go to network options in settings. Go OFFLINE.

    5. Boot up DA:I and start a new game. Remain off line - ignore the warning about not being able to connect to DA servers.

    6. Play through until you can save the game, then do so an quit DA completely.

    7. Go back to network settings and go back online then restart DA:I.

    8. When warned that the cloud save data does not match the local save data choose to keep the local save data. Wait a minute or so while the data resyncs, then continue with your game.

Your progress bar that was stuck (eg. for me Quartermaster at 90%) should hopefully be reset to zero - i played through until I had done the first requisition and then checked the progress bar and it is now showing 5% 🙂.  I had tried simply starting a new game previously but that didn't help - the progress bars remained frozen.

I installed the game on a different xbox, started a new game and ran through the beginning to Hinterlands. After setting up the first camp (not the the one that is automatically set up when you travel there but the first you have to set up yourself) I still did not unlock the Trailblazer achievement. It seems that there is no way to unlock any of the stuck achievements without a patch to the game.

  • The only thing you can do is call Xbox and report it to them. It's just an issue with your account not hitting their achievement servers. I have the same problem with the PlayStation achievements. Or I guess trophies.

Try clearing out a few things on your system and maybe they will start registering??

settings> disc and blu ray> persistent storage> clear

settings> network settings> advanced settings> alternate mac address> clear and restart console

Some of the achievements work fine, and the achievements in other games also work. So this is definitely an issue in the game. This is backed up by the fact that I did a clean install on a new xbox to test this out.

You can see my current stats here: http://www.trueachievements.com/Dragon-Age-Inquisition-Xbox-One/achievements.htm?gamerid=322701

There is definitely something wrong with the game as I don't have the garden in Skyhold but the Botanist achievement has progress, I have not yet unlocked Trailblazer even though I have progress on Pathfinder. Also the Quartermaster is stuck on 2/20 even though I have done more than 10 requisitions and the same goes with High Commander that it is not progressing after completing additional operations.

I have been playing for more than 60 hours on Nightmare so it is quite frustrating that several of the achievements are glitching. I have now stopped playing completely until this is patched as I fear that Inquisitor-achievement won't unlock.

    Hi

I'm experiencing the same issues with achievements when the same game is being played on the same console by more than one profile. This has happened in all the games me and the wife have played through and I am now convinced it is the xbox one that is at fault and not the games themselves. In the current case of DA inquisition once I unlock an achievement that has a progress indicator bar progress then ceases for my wife making the achievement unobtainable and vice versa. It seems confined to those achievements that have progress bars and is ruining our experience as we are both avid achievement chasers.

I've posted up to the official xbox forums about it just a few days ago but have had no reply. This is the first post I have come across that mentions this issue so am grateful to see it isn't just us having problems.

    Hi,

could you link to your post on xbox forums so I can also keep an eye on it? DA: Inquisition has been so far the only case for me and my girlfriend, but if this happens on other games I guess it is better wait for fix from Microsoft before starting any games that we both would play ☚ī¸
