AMD Dual Graphics Will Not Work on DAI
http://hastebin.com/esetolizug.tex <-- here is my dxdiag
I'm on a HP Pavilion DV6 running an AMD Radeon HD 6755G2 (aka an HD 6620G and 6750M in asynchronous crossfire). I have a dual-monitor setup. I've recently downloaded the updated AMD beta drivers for DAI (14.11.2). I've actually installed them twice, second install was a clean install.
OK, so, my problem is this: I have an AMD dual graphics setup, and Dragon Age: Inquisition will only use the HD 6620G, and not the 6750M (which is represented in the DxDiag as "AMD Radeon 6600M and 6700M Series"). So, basically, it'll only use the crappy integrated card and not the dedicated card. I spent all day yesterday looking for a solution, and found nothing. I've actually had this issue before about a year back with a small (and free) indie game that used Unity, and I couldn't find a solution then either, but as it was a free game and not something I'd been waiting to play I didn't look into it any further after that.
Obviously this is a different situation. So far,
1. I've tested to see if the problem is unique to DAI using AMD System Monitor. Skyrim, Dragon Age 2, Fallout New Vegas, and Portal 2 all use both the 6620G and 6570M. So, Crossfire is working on my system, but not with DAI for some reason.
2. I tried turning off the integrated graphics through the Device Manager, which i should have known wouldn't work, because both monitors are hooked up through the integrated card. I DID try starting DAI in this state just to see what would happen, but it gave me an error message. I can't remember exactly what it was, unfortunately, but it was something along the lines of device/driver missing, etc.
3. Through the Catalyst Control Center I tried to change my settings to force DAI to use the dedicated card only. First, I attempted to turn all of the settings to High-Performance Graphics under power management (although I think i already had this setting saved prior). Then, I tried to set the 3D Application Settings to make a profile for DAI. I messed around with a lot of different options here, trying to force AMD's anti-aliasing/texture filtering/etc just to see if it would cause the dedicated card to do something. I tried all of the options under the AMD Radeon Dual graphics (default mode, afr friendly, optimise 1x1, as well as using a pre-defined profile). For reference, here's a screenshot of what that page looks like now. --> http://i.imgur.com/F1UwkU3.png
4. I also tried to find the option to make specific programs use either card (depending upon whether you set them on power saving or high-performance) because I know I had it before, but it seems to be missing on this version of CCC? If I right click the desktop and click Configure Switchable Graphics, it either brings up the CCC page that I already have up, or sends me to the Creating And Arranging Desktops page.
5. I also tried switching the displays so that the laptop display is primary and playing DAI from that, but it also had no effect (generally I use the Dell monitor as my primary monitor).
6. I tried turning Crossfire off as well to see if it would improve performance but obviously nothing changed because it doesn't seem to be using Crossfire to begin with.
7. I also (just now, actually) tried messing with the in-game graphics options to see if I needed higher settings for the 6750M to kick in. No change.
8. And as one last note, I'm playing in windowed mode, but I've tried both in windowed fullscreen and fullscreen mode with no alterations to the problem.
I know Crossfire has its issues, but this is the first time I've ever run into a problem like this in a retail game. ☹️ Right now the game is playable on low settings from the integrated card, although the frame rate is a bit dismal (hovers between 11-25 fps depending on where i am and what's going on) and i still get weird stuttering fairly often, although I know this is a known issue.
I don't have the means to replace this computer right now, so any and all help is appreciated! Thank you.

There should be settings in the Catalyst Control Center to reset your primary video to the included, but below minimum dedicated device, alone, when Crossfire is acting up. There is also a belated Radeon 15-3 driver version, delayed for a couple of months (last one 14-12).
