Any fix/patch for infinite potions?

I just got into dragon age. I was loving it until I went to the brecilian forest and found this merchant that I could loop elfroot off of. Its not a glitch, its just that this particular merchant never runs out of this product, so I can make as many health potions as I please with this guy and a couple hundred flasks. Needless to say, I can now rip through any fight because I have 500000 potions. I'm so mad. Now the game isn't challenging.

I ordered the ultimate edition, put that in, and even with all the patches this guy still doesn't run out of elf root? I was so excited to play all this dlc etc but I can't just ignore the fact all the health in the world is a skill (herbalism) away.

Is there any patch for 360 or any way to fix this without simply going "just don't make so many potions etc"

If theres any fix, anything even if I have to link my xbox 360 to the computer to fix this PLEASE let me know.

I was loving the game now....I can't even play knowing every fight is me drinking potions to win. Thanks!
