Do you have mods installed yourself? Also are you patched to 1.05? What happens exactly?

I have a similar problem (PC). My character is stuck in the ruins in the Brecilian Forrest. Trying to activate area transition opens the world map, but the map is blank and not working. I have tried reloading a couple of times, switching between characters, and even deleting the "modules" folder, because other players with similar issues recommended it. Nothing seems to fix the problem.
I am having similar issues, but whenever I load into Lothering, my game crashes. Game woked fine not to long ago, now it just crashes.
