Idk there is big hype over the Oblivion remake that is happening and everyone I've talked to in forums and on xbox who have played are very interested in seeing a remake and you are right some older diehard fans who really loved the original would pay $100 so make it a collectable and sell the base fame for $60. After veilguard a lot of younger players have started to pick up Origins to see what the hype was and why people liked it so much and still do. A remake would bridge that gap between the older generation and the newer who never got to experience the greatness of the game.
They have all the stuff. The lay out, the story board, the characters, most of the writing and character dialog. Some of the original voice actors would love to come back there are a few they would need to replace due to complications with relations with either Bioware or EA like the voice actor for Cullen. I think a remake would do quite well especially with all the new games failing because they just don't have that old game feel. As long as they didn't mess with the story or characters.

He was also recently arrested for some pretty disturbing stuff, so I think he may have burnt bridges with the entire industry.
There's also the issue of voice actors who have died, such as Robin Sachs (Harrowmont), Geraldine Blecker (Shale) and Peter Renaday (Duncan). Another issue is that SAG-AFTRA's strike against EA (and other studios) has not ended yet, which might impact which actors could get involved, but I'm unfamiliar with the details of that.
As for the appeal of remakes in general: EA's Motive made a remake of Dead Space, so there is precedent, but I remain skeptical due to the scope of Dragon Age. If you look at other studios: Square Enix has a successful (in-progress) remake of Final Fantasy VII, and BioWare's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is getting a remake by Sabre, but I think both Final Fantasy and Star Wars are stronger brands than Dragon Age at the moment.It's great just to have a theoretical conversation without people getting into name calling and anger. I really love this series and would love to just sit down and have a conversation with the people in charge about making a remake come true lol. This game means a lot to me because it got me through the loss of my nephew in 2019 and every time something tragic happened I picked it up and played through it again just to get through that loss. Not trying to get you down or play the sad card just trying to express my love for the game and what it means to me and I'm sure to others as well.
I would be ok with replacing some voice actors I wasn't that invested in some of them but some idk if I could like Claudia Black - her voice I've loved since Farscape and Feneris - Gideon Emery and of course Alisters -Steven Valentine lol. I think it has a chance especially because people are on board with remakes lately.

That's true. I've been expressing my skepticism about a Dragon Age remake in this thread, but I didn't stop to realize that I have played several remakes in the past few years, and my most anticipated game this year is a remake of Trails in the Sky.
