[bug] Solas Won't Cast Revive in Tactical

Wanted to report a bug I've started experiencing since the latest patch.

My build on Solas won't cast revive in tactical camera. He will cast it in action cam.

In tactical camera view, selecting revive places the spell in the action queue (i.e. it shows up next to his portrait) and allows placement, but un-pausing the game immediately removes the spell from the queue, replaced by a basic attack. Attempting to cast the spell in real time does pause the game and allows for spell placement and queueing, but after un-pausing, the bug proceeds as described before.

This is not occurring in the action cam view. The spell functions as normal.

I do not know if this bug is affecting characters besides Solas. I also don't know if it is build specific. I can post my build if the Devs believe it will help with debugging.

Thank you very much for addressing this issue! And thank you for a great game. 70+ hours in, and I LOVE it!

Thanks for the post. I just loaded up a game and specced Revival on my poor neglected Solas. I was able to test and cast it out of combat without issues. Can you post your Solas build in case that's a factor? If you use the button/trigger to move time forward in the tac cam, do you see the same behaviour?

Edit: i got to test it in combat and it worked fine on my build, so your build (or even PM me a copy of your most recent save file if you're on PC) would help.

I am on PC. I'd be happy to upload my save file, but I don't know where to find it.

Found them. I will PM the latest ones to you.

  • So its now nearly March 2016 and this bug is still not fixed. I cannot cast Revive with Solas in Tactical on PS4. I'm forced to jump back into real time control and let my team get butchered for a couple of seconds, usually resulting in a death or two (nightmare). Can this even be fixed? Has it even been looked at?
