I had this problem as well. Got him to half health, it went to a loading screen for a few minutes, when it came back, he was just standing there, bouncing up and down. Reloading my autosave from the start of the battle fixed it for me. Others have said that once you get back from the loading screen, and see that it is bugged, you can just run down the stairs to the beginning of the area and it should trigger the cutscene that is supposed to play. I have not tried this as it worked for me after my first reload.
Anyway, it definitely ruined the exciting momentum of the fight to get him to half health, then sit on a loading screen for so long, then have it bug out.
Hope it gets fixed, and I hope you all are able to get passed it.
