can you take screenshots in DA:I (ps3 version)

Hey I was just wondering if there was a way to take screenshots on the ps3 version of dragon age inquisition without a capture card? I don't want videos or anything I just want pictures. I know some games you can press the PS button and the start button to take a picture, but it didn't work for me. I don't really have the money for a capture card, but I really want some screenshots of my different inquisitors (to put on tumblr and such) thank you!
