Can't Access Main Quests Anymore?
Hi, everyone!
I've been replaying DA:I again, and, for some reason, it won't let me access the main questline. I went to play Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, and the fast travel is greyed out. I saw an earlier post where someone mentioned loading an earlier save, but, when I did that, it wouldn't let me start any of the main quests I had been able to do previously, so now I'm not sure what to do. I've restarted the game, took out the mods (which were mostly cosmetic, but you never know), and even verified my game files through steam. At this point, I'm at a loss. Any ideas?
After a couple hours, and a lot of fiddling, I just wanted to post my answer in case someone else ever runs into this problem:
Originally, I didn't mention this because I didn't think it was important, but I was super wrong: I play the game with an XBOX controller. However, that was the root of the problem. I'm not entirely sure why the controller support suddenly failed in this one, tiny-yet-important way, but it did. Switching the controls to mouse and keyboard, getting into the quest, finding a place to save, and then reloading with the controller has worked~
It also explains why there hasn't been many inquiries about this issues despite how long the game has been around, but alas~
