Cant download and install DLC. "Download Failed".

I just bought DLC for DA: O, and i can't install it. When entering the DLC menu the DLC fails (Doesn't go past 0%) and i can't install it. Really wish to play it and not have wasted my money. Any solution to this?

    Hi guys,

    If you still have difficulties installing your DLCs, please flush your DNS and restart your computer, this will refresh the connection (in case you're still trying to access the "bad" server).

     

    Alternatively, you may need to the solution provided in the following thread: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/58/index/14747649. Finally, disable any mods you may have installed.

    If none of the above worked for you, please create a new thread with as much details as possible regarding the version of the game you have (example: Digital version bought on Steam).

    We will try to help you you troubleshoot the issue.

    Alright, beginning an uninstall/reinstall and will create a new thread because it still is not working for me....

    Same here.  Be warned the thread may be have a long opener as I haven't even gotten a direct response from anyone here on the forums.  Starting to wonder if there's some feeling my money went to a totally different company called Bioware & EA...

    Still doesn't work - so decided to uninstall instead.


    This thread is definately not solved despite the solved mark.

    Uninstalled, flushed DNS, reinstalled and restarted... still not working.

    I am also having this problem. I just reinstalled Dragon Age onto my newer PC. It has been updated to its most recent version. However, I can not download any of the DLC. Whenever I try and do so, it says that that the download has failed.

    So I'm NOT the only one having this problem. The DLC shows up it the download tab with a red arrow and refuses to download. I can't get the DLC to work even with a manual install. I've tried multiple things, none of which worked.

    Hi guys,

    We really want to help you, but in order to do that we DO need as much details as possible so I'm closing this thread to make sure that everybody has all the information they need before contacting us.
    First, here is a list of solutions that were previously shared on the BSN regarding issues with installing or downloading the DLCs:

    Specific to "Download failed" error message:

     

    If the issue persists after trying the solutions provided there, please see my earlier statement and create a new thread with as much details as possible. 
    Ideally the information we need is:
    • When you bought the game (before of after Origin)
    • Where you bought the game (Steam, Origin, Amazon, Gamefly, etc...)
    • What version of the patch is installed
    • What version of the game you have (Digital, hard copy, what edition)
    • What exactly is happening (Is the DLC showing under installed, but not triggering in-game? Is the download starting at all, etc...)
    • If the DLC appears to be installed but is not triggering, what is happening? Is the location specific to the DLC not appearing on the map or can you see it but the cutscene doesn't start when you travel there?
