Character Creation: Character is missing.

I get to what looks like it's supposed to be a cutscene, but it's just green fog. Then it cuts to character creation, and the character is completely missing. (This is what it looks like: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B2uDLtICMAAzJRm.jpg ) And occastionally some flashes that look like lightning are in the background? It's clearly a bug. I just don't know how to fix it.
No matter how much I move around the sliders, switch things around, she doesn't appear.

I've tried lowering the quality settings and restarting the computer and both didn't do anything.

Help.

☹️

  • Well, I use laptop..... I faced the same problem..... I made a lot: restart, uninstalled/installed DA:I twice, upgraded everything that I can find and upgrade. Nothing! :catmad:

That was because my "dear" system Windows 8.1 DIDN'T WANT TO CHANGE INTEL VIDEOCARD ON AMD AUTOMATICALLY, when I was playing DA:I. I don't know why, because Skyrim and other games switch to AMD without problems. If you're using laptop - try to switch them. Maybe it will help you.

Were you able to fix the problem and if so, how?

I wasn't :/ kinda accepted I wouldn't be able to play it, and just gave up. Even tho it seems I could play it with 6gb Ram, I still couldn't make it.

The cinematic that should happen in the fade, once you start it, is just green fog as well, and then the character creation is the same. As far as I was able to find online, this has to do with graphics, that's why the game doesn't "show" anything (and I still don't know why, since I could find someone playing with very similar specs on YouTube).

Anyway, sorry if I can't help, just thought I would answer anyway so you have something.

If it won't run with all unneeded background processes closes and, on minimum settings, then it's not going to run on a GPU that doesn't meet the minimum requirements. Even if it does run on that, it's overworking that GPU and, will cause it to fail sooner than if you had not forced it to run a game it is not designed to run. A bit like asking a 4 cylinder compact care to haul 2000 lbs of cargo daily, sure it does it for a little while but, it breaks down a lot sooner because of it.

I also have this issue with my game but I do not know what the problem is, I have a feeling it might have to do with windows 10. Can someone please help?
