Crash during Conversations/War Room

Firstly here's my DxDiage info: http://pastebin.com/vCpnvpyn

I've been trying all the solutions I can find on these forums and others but no luck with any of them. Basically whilst I'm playing during conversational pieces and now whilst in the War Room the game will literally just lock my pc up and it seems like my display just shuts down (I get 'No Signal' on my monitors). It seemed random at first but now it's actually hindering my progress in the game, every time I try to advance a particular mission in the War Room it happens.

I've checked the temperature of my GPU whilst playing and it never exceeds 80C. I've tried it on the whole spectrum of settings, diabling SSAO/HBAO etc. Disabling Origin overlay, disconnecting from dragonagekeep and offline mode in Origin, running in compatability mode and as administrator, reinstalling the game. You name it, I've probably tried it.

I'm not really aiming for a solution here (but it would be nice!) but I just want to know if anyone else is suffering with this particular issue and to just hopefully let someone up above maybe know about this issue.

EDIT:Just wanted to clarify that the crash results in me having to hard reset the machine.

Try to Uncap the Loading FPS by using this. In loading and during Cinematic, the FPS Cap at 30. Sometime, it slow down the game and make it crash. With this command, you cna Unlock this FPS Cap.

    Copy this : -GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+

Now, go on your Desktop, Right Click on your DA:I Shortcut, property and Paste it at the end of the Target Line.

It should look like this : ****Note: The D:\Origin\Dragon Age Inquisition\ may varies from user****
    "D:\Origin\Dragon Age Inquisition\DragonAgeInquisition.exe" -GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+

Also, Run the game in "Windows Fullscreen" mode. The "Fullscreen" Bug/Crash to often, awaiting a Patch to fix it.

  • Thanks! Will give it a shot and let you know how it goes!

  • Sadly this didn't fix the issue, PC locked up about 30 seconds of being in the war room. I applied the line in Origin, since I have no shortcut to the game. This may be a silly question but the default install location for this game is in the x86 program files, would that affect anything?
