Cut Scene Voices Faint but Normal During PC Gameplay

Cut Scene voices faint but normal during gameplay.

System: Custom setup includes

CPU i7 7700K

Mobo MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon

GPU Gigabyte Gaming GTX 1080

SSD 2 Plextor M2 250GB SSD's in Raid 0

PSU Corsair RM 750x

I am using Realtek Speaker drivers as that is the only driver available to me on the PC. Driver is up to date.Setup tests fine.

dxdiag pasted to hashbin as requested in pinned post.

Steps taken:

Saved game and exit

Checked Speaker settings by unplugging speaker cable from mobo, plugging in, and testing setup for 2.1 format. Tested fine.

Test of youtube videos was fine.

ME Andromeda worked fine the other day and no system changes had been made since.

Tried game again after ensuring audio settings were correct and logging back in. No change.

I have owned this game for some time, but only recently started playing a new game tonight. I am not sure what to do at this point as other applications and internet work fine.

That didn't work, but when you mentioned stereo, I tried Windows find and fix audio playback problems and found the audio special effects of theatre mode was on so set all to default and it works fine now. Thanks.

  • This does sound like a symptom of the game outputting in surround sound, but it shouldn't do that on a 2.1 setup.

Some people have reported that setting dynamic range to 'headphones' fixes this issue. have you tried this?
