DA:I EA App Download Error
Been trying to get this issue resolved for feels like forever now. Whenever I try to download Dragon Age: Inquisition, all it does is pops up a message saying "Preparing" for about 5 mins and then stalls out saying "There is a problem with your download." then pops up an error message in red in place of the "Preparing" message saying "Download Error".
I know it's not the drive I'm trying to install it to because it's a brand new NVME drive AND I've tried installing it to 3 other drives, 2 also being NVMEs and 1 being a standard SSD all of which are less than 6 months old so it shouldn't be a hardware issue at least on my end.
I've gone back and forth with support thru I don't even know how many different people but each one I keep having to explain my issue again and again so it's like they don't even read anything from the tickets I've filed. I'm always answering the same questions over and over. Each person I get emails from also keeps trying to tell me the same supposed fix even though I've already told the previous responder that didn't work which is to try restarting the EA App and/or restarting my PC.
Another fix I tried that I found on the forums was to go thru the EA App and clear the cache which I tired and didnt work.
Yet another fix said to just go into the folders for the EA App and delete 2 specific folders forcing the EA App to sort of reset itself which others users said worked for them but sadly it didn't for me.
Every other game in my library that I have downloads just fine, it's ONLY the Dragon Age: Inquisition game that I have been having a problem getting to download. I've tried explaining this to every responder from filing the ticket but it's like no one bothers to read the updates to my ticket and just parrots the same question again and again about have you tried restarting the EA App or telling me to go download the Origin App and giving me links to do as such but clicking on those links only takes me to the site to download the EA App of course because it replaced the Origin App. You'd think they'd be aware of this before telling me to go install the Origin App.
But anyways.. sorry.. just frustrated because I've been going round and round with these guys for awhile now and not getting anywhere so I thought maybe someone else from the community itself might have run into this same error but somehow found a work around. I have a legit product key for it from when I bought it so I was trying to find out if there was a way to download the game from somewhere else and just apply my product key but so far I've yet to find a place to do that that didn't require me pay for the game again but I don't want to have to rebuy the game since I already legitimately own a copy thru EA's own website. I just can't get access to it for whatever reason.
