[EA app] Dragon Age Origins Save and Progress Reset

Hi, i used to play a lot of dragon age origin back in the days.

I wanted to replay it, especially the end-game parts of it and well, turns out my whole progress is wiped out. EA shows me 0 hours in game even tho it had over 150h+ or so. My two completely finished game saves are gone. Achievements restarted. Everything is gone. I cannot get back to the game at all, cannot even re-play it as every 5 minutes the game crashes, has visual bugs and simply doesnt work.  Im actually VERY mad that it disappeared. It was my childhood game and saves. Now they are all gone for no reason at all. I checked my onedrive, all bioware and game folders. The game just wiped out comepletly.

Is there ANY chance to get them back?

@Elwi8 Saves are local. Your save files should be in \Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Characters unless you moved them or deleted them. We have no way to recover that.

As for you time in the game, sadly there is not a revert for that. Support cannot assist with this issue I am afraid. Normally that is an issue with the wrong account being logged in. If all your purchases are showing up in the purchase history on your profile on EA.com, then you can at least rule out the wrong account.

As for saves, is something happens, it would ask you if you want to use local or cloud. If it does not, and you cannot locate your saves on your PC, you will have to start over. The data itself being wiped like achievements we have to report as a bug. There is not a way to grant that back.

  • Just noticed the same thing with my Origins. All my other Dragon Age games are intact but Origins has been completely wiped, even though all are currently installed. I've played fully through at least twice, including DLCs. I've never had any other EA/Origin account associated with this PC so it's not that (though I can't even figure out where to see purchases anymore). I haven't attempted to launch the game and was only looking to compare play times but yikes. Dragon Age Keep still has all my Origins achievements so I have no idea what went wrong but this is pretty egregious for a gaming platform.

Looks like it also reset my played time in Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2 (both not currently installed) and Mass Effect Legendary Edition (which is installed). Mass Effect 3 and Andromeda are still intact.
