Dialogue audio very low volume

Has anyone else experienced this? I've got the audio volume slider for dialogue at 10 and music+sound effects at 5 but the latter still overpower the former. The dialogue is REALLY quiet. Just trying to see if this is a known issue with a fix or something on my end...

I suspect you have a stereo setup and the game is outputting in surround sound. In a surround sound signal, dialog goes through the central speaker, which a stereo setup doesn't have.

In the dialog options, check the option to force stereo sound.

If you do have surround sound, make sure it's set up properly in your system settings (whether you have a computer or game console).

where is that particular option located? surround or stereo. i am just not seeing it, yet
