First off, I'm on Xbox One.When in a dialogue sequence it sometimes just stops after someone says something, the game is still running, things are still being animated, but it won't do anything. The characters simply halt the dialogue, no dialogue wheel shows up and often times I'm forced to skip the next piece of dialogue. More recently I couldn't even do that, I was just stuck at staring one character's face perpetually until I rebooted the game to see if that would help. It did not, this is a consistant and most definitely not random glitch.Although chances are slim, is there a way I can fix this on my end? Or am I just going to have to wait for a patch before I can continue the story?

Same. Cassandra's romance, some of the conversations with Dorian, and most frustratingly in the Western Expanse on the Inquisitor's Path quest "Here Lies the Abyss".The latter I had to mash the skip button to get around it. Missed the entire conversation.Edit: Playing on PS4

Thanks for the "skip button" idea it allowed my fiance to get Dorian, she was getting depressed over it.

I managed to get passed it by spamming skip before they talk. It only happened to me with the wardens in western approach in the story quest line.

Been running into this on xbox one. It was really bad on the here lies the abyss quest, id swear I missed half the dialogue.

Hello everyone I am on the PS4. I only encountered this problem on the "Into the Abyss" quest so far and I let it sit and waited and the dialogue eventually continued as it should. I agree that the bug causing it should be fixed but just wait it out when it freezes.

I'm on PS4 and I am having this exact same issue, and it has only gotten worse as I have progressed. Which just says to me that they didn't properly test it all the way through. It's unacceptable, I like this game a lot and I am unable to progress any further.

Your chances aren't slim. I've experienced this too on my PS4 version and several others as well, so you aren't alone with this bug. I'm unable to advance further into the story because of this. They just start talking and then they stop and don't continue. I've gotten as far as to the point where the dialogue wheel showed up but it wouldn't allow me to pick anything.
I've restarted several times and now now i'm reinstalling the game in hopes that will work. I'm kind of pissed at this point. Would really like for them to get on this issue.

Yep, I'm having the same problem (on PS4). With me, It just happens whenever one specific character speaks, which is really frustrating.

Hello, im on ps4 and i have the same issue, at Valenna dialogue on the bridge :-/ restart the game haven't fixed it... Any tip? Thx

PC is having the same issue. There's a guy/gal on here who's gone through various things that haven't had any impact. I'm currently testing lowering my affinity for the main DA:I process by one core. I know that doesn't much help the console owners, but if any PC folks drop by check here.

I'm having the same problem on ps4, and at this point I'm unable to progress through one of the Inquisitor's path quests.
There are so many bugs, the game is almost unplayable. I'm seriously considering just putting the game away and wait for patches.. Like we haven't waited enough

Same issue (PS4).
I've been able to get through a few of these Dialogue Freezes by rabidly skipping (hitting square for the PS4) through the conversations. Very frustrating, but hopefully we will see a fix before too long.

I have the same issue on my 360, also i can recreate it everytime and the game locks up with the only way to resume, is to restart the console and skip to a different mission....want a guaranteed freeze...romance cassandra on 360. locks upevery time. also, take blackwell on a mission to reclaim any grey warden artifacts...100% lock up.
