Did I buy the wrong new system

I just purchased a new computer today. One of the reasons for a new computer was because I got DA:I for Christmas and my current laptop couldn't run the game. I am waiting for the computer to be delivered but I just realized that it is a dual core processor, not a quad. Will I still be able to run the game or should I cancel the order. Here are the specs:

Processor 2.2 GHz Core i5-5200U

RAM 8 GB DDR3L SDRAM

Hard Drive 500 GB SATA

Graphics Coprocessor NVIDIA GeForce 840M

Graphics Card Ram Size 2000 MB

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Not only is a dual core now more or less obsolete for games, and I7s the rule, that poor Geforce isn't good enough to pass minimum.   If you HAVE to use a laptop, get a GPU that still contains everything internal that is required, instead of accepting only HALF.

Demand a Radeon, and get nothing slower than an R9 270 mobile.

I'm installing Steam now but the first thing that I did was use the (awesome) tool that checks if my system will play the game. I got a green checkmark for minimum requirements. Fingers crossed.

Do you mean http://systemrequirementslab.com ? Because that's actually a very unreliable tool. Just to give an example:

Well, it took forever to install the game from the discs. It almost seemed like it was downloading everything. I finally got to the 4th disc and went to bed. When I woke up, I launched the game and got a message that I needed to update my video card driver. That took another 20 minutes. I then launched the game and............BAM......it worked! I had to leave for work, so I couldn't play much. I watched the opening "movie" that brings you into the story and got to a point where I could move around and everything seemed great. Maybe if I had a higher end system I would notice better performance or graphics but what I saw more than fine. It looked great. It was very smooth. Maybe when I get into a battle I'll have more of a problem but so far so good.
