After many with the specialists at EA, we tried the following, and it seems to work for now:
1. Completely reinstall all your graphics drivers, directX, and C++.
2. Create a new Windows Admin account.
3. Run a Disc Clean.
4. Do a clean boot.
5. Create a new save file. Don't worry about losing progress. You can still use your old save file. But the specialist told me to do this step, so I'm including it.
6. Load an old save, do something that frequented a crash. For me it was loading a conversation heavy mission, a little ways into the game:
After doing all this, I get the game to run fine. And it used to crash the whole time previously. I was literally at the point of just giving up. Hopefully this will help someone else.
