Does DA3 have "arcs" in the story? or is it just one big arc?

I have been playing for ~30 some hours or so, and have done tons of quests but i have found that the story just isn't keeping me entertained.  How far do you have to go before it gets good?  I don't need spoilers, and I REALLY want to like this game (i loved the previous ones alot), but i am finding it hard to enjoy the grind i am forced to do to level and gain "Power points".

I am playing on nightmare with team damage (only way the game play was a challenge in the last ones).  But the challenge (or lack there of) in the

previous ones didn't deminish the awesome story that was told.  In this version, i have been to redcliff, butchered the tainted templars in the tower, and i am still looking for that bit of story that make me feel like hero or makes me wonder "what's next".  Perhaps the parts of the story i have played so far were just too predictable and i haven't hit the a twist yet (thats what i hope at least).

I am about to bump the game to easy just so i can play the story faster, cuz i am board with the progress so far.  I am hoping someone has some inspiring words that will motivate me to continue playing as i have been.
