Dragon Age 2 Blurry Conversations

I have just started playing Dragon Age 2 again, and I am having this issue where the background and the back of the characters' hair are blurry during conversations. I do have mods installed but I am pretty sure that they are not the cause.

I've tried to fix this issue through different means, including turning on anti-aliasing to 8x and anisotropic filtering to 16x, while having screen space ambient occlusion, diffusion depth of field, and high-quality blur off both in-game and in the NVIDIA Control Panel. Switching from DirectX 11 to DirectX 9 also does not solve the issue, and neither does lowering the graphics quality.

Is there any way to fix this issue while remaining on DirectX 11?
