Dragon Age 2 The Long Road Companion Quest - Donnic won't go to Hanging Man

I did all the back and forth between Avaline and Donnic in this quest, and have invited Donnic to the Hanging Man. He agreed to meet me there, but the quest indicator icon still points to him where I encountered him. He won't meet me at the Hanging Man and I can't repeat the dialogue to try again. Any way to end this hangup? FYI, I'm using the PC version.

    Are you playing a sarcastic Hawke @RaZor_Nall? If so, you will need to load a previous save because you found a rare -an annoying- bug. There's no other way to bypass the issue. Sorry about that.

    If you have any issues with Dragon Age 2, please make a new topic about your problems and what kind of steps you have tried to solve them.
