Dragon Age Awakening coressponding with wardens keep dlc

Is it possible to retain the warden commander armor that I received in the wardens keep dlc in awakening dlc ? Because when I am given control of my character and try to change in to the warden commander armor from wardens keep to replace the armor that it gives you by default when you start awakening it is not in my inventory but when I load the save from the original game and wardens keep dlc prior to my import in to awaking I am wearing the armor. I would also like to note that in the import character select screen my warden is not dressed in any armor what so ever. So basically save I import I know im wearing the armor, I import the save in to awakening and it is not in my inventory, if it is a thing that can not be transferred then so be it but if it is a glitch of some sort then I would like to see it resolved. PEASE comment as soon as possible and thanks in advance.
