Dear Next2Flawl3ss,
I am expericing exactly the same problems.
I am trying to install dragon age 1 and 2 but through Origin but every time it fails giving me exactly the same directX error message as you.
I have tried to search the internetz but I have not found any solution for this matter.
It really ticks me off because I want to go through 1 more playthrough of both dragon age 1 and 2 before beginning with 3.
But you posted this post awhile ago so you might have found a solution in the mean time.
So my question is : Have you found a solution for this matter?? Have you got it to work??
