I've repaired it three times now and it still won't work.
Watch it be the horse armor dlc.

I'm having a similar issue. Get the black box, it will load briefly, give me the intro song, but the screen stays black, and soon it freezes up and does nothing.

Here's a thing I found out that might be my problem, this game will apparently not run with a dual core prossessor, you need to have atleast a quad core. It took me some time to find out that I don't have a quad core.

So how do I get my money back for a game that doesnt run.
I get as far as the EA Bioware and then a black box
Updating my GPU drivers fixed it here. (and a whole slew of other windows updates)

Hi, this is a general issue so the steps to fix it will be pretty generic.
First of all, please update your card drivers.Check here for details: http://help.ea.com/au/article/finding-devices-and-updating-drivers/
If the issue persists, please check that your computer meets the minimum spec to run the game. Unfortunately Dual-Core machines can't run the game.
If you're below min spec and you bought the game through Origin, you might want to check out the Great Game Guarantee.
If you play on a laptop, please check your power settings and/or card manager to ensure that the main card is being used to play DAI.
If you're up to date and above spec, please post in this thread with a hastebin link to your dxdiag.
