dragon age inquisition freezing completely while playing

Hi guys i really need some help with DAI

I've been having freezes since I've been playing this game and it happens in random times after a while playing the game just stops and freezes and there is nothing I can do to get out( Alt+tab or Ctrl+Alt+Dlt or other stuff dont work) so i have to hard-reboot my pc to resolve it.

I have the latest driver of nvidia(347.09) and I tried previous versions too and still having freezes.

My PC at least meets the minimum requirements

GPU : gtx 560 ti 1gb

CPU : Intel Core I5 2400 3.10GHz

RAM : 6gbs

So PLZ if anyone has the same issue or has any opinion or any solution plz help me!!!!

Hi guys. I finally fixed my issue. There were a lot of things that i did. But the only thing that worked was underclokcing yeaaaaaaah!!!!

I underclocked my gpu to some different amounts and also increased the gpu fan speed so it doesn't go above 65 C.I have gtx 560 ti with stock core clock 822 which i changed to 800 and shader clock changed to 1600 automatically and memory clock from 2004 to 1960, and I didn't change the core voltage, I won't risk it and set the fan speed to 65%.I think the problem was that my stock gpu settings wasn't stable so the underclocking seems to have stablized it.

No freezes so far, I hope this works for you guys, but I must say ,DON'T MESS WITH THE CLOCKS IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW. Good Lock.(I used MSI Afterburner)

It could be a heat issue but not totally because when i don't overclock and just speed up the fan it still freezes. The underclock seems to stablize the gpu so the huge load of the game, lightens. And there was a weird thing I exprienced which was when i lower the graphic settings it's more likely to crash and freeze but with higher settings it works better, :O :O I know it sounds crazy and weird but it's true.BUT I must say after 3-4 hours of gameplay, i start to get some lags and glitches, not sure why( but still better than freezing )and when I restart the game it fixes

  • Virtually every time I play Inquisition, the game freezes. I am using a standard controller which I love. Every answer that I have found in forums and on ea.com are either not helpful or I do not understand what the answer means. The music also gets stuck at times. I would greatly appreciate your help.

While you told us it freezes, you didn't give much else.  If you want any chance of getting help, we(other forum members) will need info.  Basic starting info, is PC/Xbox/PS...I assume PC, and if that is correct, then a DxDiag file would be an excellent idea.  Also specifics as to when it freezes, such as time played or action taken, how long it stays frozen, otherwise is it stuck until a reboot or is it a freeze for a second and continue along to freeze a second again....

The causes of a freeze on a PC can be numerous and sometimes complex, while others incredibly simple.  I had a stutter caused by a memory resource program that would kick on during game play and cause my game to stutter or hang for a few seconds and then continue on...I found it by using a process explorer(much like advanced task manager in Win10) and watching what was using the CPU when I was trying to play.  Hardware issues, software interference, and driver issues can all cause a freeze.  So we need info.

If you are talking about a console issue, then the specifics of when, how long and such still apply......
