Dragon age inquisition: Game does not start, yet no errors [fixed]

When I select "play" on the game from Origin, the game does not start. Double click on desktop icon also yields same result. A dialog window opens up saying that it is syncing cloud data. This appears to be successful and the dialog closes. Then nothing happens. According to task manager, the game is not running.

Fixed by following this thread: answers.ea.com/t5/Dragon-Age-Inquisition/DA-I-won-t-start-up-after-50-hours-of-working-fine/m-p/4041310#U4041310

Essentially, disable "origin in game". Right click on the game in Origin. Select "disable origin in game". Then game starts.

Unbelievable that such a bug exists on a AAA game...

Tried disabling Origin both on the game and in application settings, no luck. Just hangs indefinitely. I am right at the 50 hours played. Reinstalling in hopes this fixes it although according to what I've read here that won't help

I have the same problem.
Did reinstalling help.
I have Pc with Windows 8.
Played for 10 hours then did not start the next morning.

Exact same problem here. Played for 12 hours and all of a sudden today the game won't start. An Origin update was running before. Maybe this has to do something with the issue???

Same issue here. Submitted a bug report to Origin. Only played two hours the night before. Very lame. I have about the same specs as Kauldric.

Played for 57 hours. 1st time the problem happened a repair did the trick, now the game doesn't start at all...

Origin is the shittiest piece of software in the history of **bleep** software. No wonder it does not work. It also displays all content to me in Norwegian even though I've clearly selected English language.... I just happen to be in Norway (student) and can't understand anything except basic content (based on guesswork and button placement). Same problem with Origin.com. EA is the worst company in the world with no clue what their users want, think or need.

tried the repair game option and disable origin in game... still no luck. anyone had success with uninstalling & reinstalling the game?

Same issue.....game does not start up for me, just blank screen then kicks me to desktop. I have all the reqs too. What is going on?

Not quite the same issue but here's what's happening with me: I've been playing for about 24 hours, the game launches fine but when I click "load" or "continue" the game will go into a loading screen and stop. I tried to disable origin in game and it still does the same thing. Any idea what's going on with that?
