I had the same problem with discs stalling out (disc 2 stopped installing and wouldn't start again, kept getting error message). It has a big discoloration like Fugue described. Same with disc 4. I'm trying to download it now. Slowly. We'll see how that goes.
I also tried going offline in origin and going through the normal windows install/run thing, but I couldn't get anything to work that way. Do you have to do anything special?

I didn't, no. Put it in offline mode, started over from scratch, and disc 4 copied at the same speed as the other three. Honestly, I was really pretty surprised that it worked. I really figured it was going to turn out to be a damaged disc.
Unless it really is a damaged disc and something just coincidentally got it over the hump? Dunno, it's beyond my pay grade.
Sorry for getting your hopes up.

I did what you said as I had the 1st disc taking forever to install. After 7 hours, I had only 17% of the game installed. Now, Origin won't let me install the disc at all. How can I install the game and get it to install faster?
