Dragon Age Inquisition keeps freezing

The game loads up normally and connects to the Dragon Age Keep servers fine but when it gets to the point where it is supposed to actually load the game (after it shows those "cards") it goes to the black screen with the flashing loading icon on the bottom right and the icon flashes a few times then stops. After that nothing, just that black screen with the non flashing icon. The game has been working wonderfully up to this point. I have about 30 hours played and it worked fine yesterday. The only thing I did between then and today was update Flash Player. I have tried repairing the game files several times and even reinstalled Flash and tried reverting back to the previous version of Flash. Nothing makes any difference. I get no error messages just that black screen with the stuck icon.

I haven't gone so far as to uninstall yet but I am getting close to doing that but was hoping someone on here might have some better alternatives first. Thanks for any help!
