dragon age inquisition not loading !
Hello, I bought DA:I the other day on Steam and am having issues with loading into the game.
So first off, I downloaded it and played it from Steam which prompted it to be 'downloaded' again on Origin, which took a few seconds. Then it launched but was a black screen for roughly 30 seconds, then the green inquisition logo appeared but was frozen and this was for about 2 minutes before it started animating and this was still about 5 minutes of this. Then the game loaded the Bioware logo but very slow and laggy, and then it loaded the menu screen but this was also very slow and laggy. The 'click to play' came up after about 4 minutes, and then it tried to connect to servers but this is where it doesnt progress. I left it for 30 minutes doing this and it did nothing.
After this I
- Ran origin repair (validated through steam fine but this did not fix the issue)
- Ensured no other apps except Steam, Origin and DAI were in use (did not fix)
- Ended all programs except essentials (did not fix)
- Changed to best compatibility (Windows 8 and admin) ran a test and the game didn't even load in to the menu.
- Uninstalled, deleted all dragon age related files, and reinstalled (did not fix)
EDIT: I've included my hastebin and I notice a lot of issues at the end but I dont understand them https://www.toptal.com/developers/hastebin/zuficutege.yaml
To start with, you don't meet minimum specs for your computer hardware, as you have an Intel graphics chip and not a dedicated graphics card by Nvidia or AMD. So basically, if it ever works on this machine, then you are lucky. You may go over to Intel site and see if the forums there have ideas on getting the substandard Intel chip to run this game. The game is old enough that there may be info there to fix your issue. There isn't much other than that, that I can recommend other than upgrading your hardware to min specs. If you really want to game on PC, then other than being one of the worst times to try and find a graphics card, I would upgrade your system, probably starting with a full PC build because your system is more geared to business, as that is what it was marketed too.
