Dragon Age Inquisition PC set to controller mode not working

This fix's how to get back to mouse and keyboard. But where is the information or help to get controller working properly to play the game with it?!

ITS NOT SOLVED AT ALL.

I have the same problem. I have tried everything I can think of. Controller works fine. It's NOT plugged into USB 3.0 which some people indicated might be the problem. Nothing works.

I'm on a standard 360 black wired gamepad. xinput test shows the pad is working perfectly. Game refuses to recognize it.

My 360 controller has stopped working since the latest patch. Working fine with every other games. Game detects my controller but nothing happens when I press start or anything.

1 - Unplugged all other USB

2 - Disabled all others HID or controllers in Device Manager

3 - Controller working fine on all other games.

Coudn't bare the game control with kb+m so unfortunately I would have to wait until it's fixed. Sigh.

I got my Logitech Rumblepad 2 to work with DAI by setting it to xinput mode and closing the Logitech profiler program, then just reboot the game and it should work.

My PC was stuck in Camera Mode - no pointer or helping hand while playing - but it was there if you went into tactical mode. Your answer allowed me to go into my profile and look at the input modes - GstInput.ForceMouseLook 0 was set to 1. EA Technical help was going to have me uninstall everything and reinstall. Thanks for the help.

@TxFree102 Thanks for the update post. It's a bit of a necro, but that's very understandable in this case.
